A useful home-robot test must reflect real homes: varied layouts, everyday objects, noise, interruptions and the occasional mistake. Lab demos rarely show that.
The future DOMULU Score will measure autonomy, reliability, usefulness, safety, speed, noise and ease of use for specific household tasks. Each test will record how often a human has to intervene, whether the task is genuinely completed, and whether the result matches a reasonable household standard.
All results will be published with clear labels: what was independently tested, what was assisted, what was a manufacturer claim and what is not yet available.
